• Software Developer Intern

    ManTech (Herndon, VA)


    ManTech seeks mission-oriented Software Developer Intern with exceptional hands-on experience in Python and other OOP languages.

     

    Our new intern will actively demonstrate their proficiency with software development while working on guided projects that can directly flow back to real contracts.

     

    This opportunity is up to 20 hrs/week during the academic year and 40 hrs a week during the summer. Work will be in Herndon, VA.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Currently pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with a graduation date no earlier than December 2025.

    + Individual must be a U.S. Citizen and either hold an active US Security Clearance or must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.

    + Experience collaborating within an agile team as well as with the other interns.

    + 2+ years of years of software development (academic, internship, or personal) experience with Python, JavaScript, C#

    + 2+ years of academic, internship or personal experience with JavaScript frameworks specifically React.js, Vue.js, Next.js, Node.js)

    + Knowledge of PM tools as JIRA and Confluence

    + Experience with SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

    + Familiarity with Django Framework and API Services (GraphQL/Graphene preferred)

    + Knowledge of cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)

    + Strong working knowledge of developer tools such as Visual Studio Code and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes – containerization platform

    + Strong understanding of AI and machine learning principles

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Individual must be a U.S. Citizen and either hold an active US Security Clearance or must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
