POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs various tasks to provide a clean environment for our patients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Dust, sweep, mop, buff, strip, and was floors as scheduled by supervisor.

• Clean and store equipment at the end of each shift.

• Report any needed repairs.

• Perform waste disposal procedures as required by supervisor.

• Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school degree or equivalent preferred

• Freedom from illegal use of drugs, and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

• Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a heath care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.

Other Training, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

• On-the-job training provided.

Equipment Used:

• Stripper/buffer machine

Other Considerations and Requirements:

A cleaning cart is utilized to assist housekeeping. Supplies are kept on the cart and wheeled from one room to another. This is a position that requires long-term standing and the ability to work quickly and effectively without having to return and correct errors. Partner will be exposed to various chemical and must be able to operate housekeeping equipment.

Successful completion of a drug test is required for this role.
