Position Summary
We’re currently looking for a Lead Accountant, Consolidations & Data Governance to join our team in Nashville, TN.
This role will be responsible for ownership of the company’s corporate chart of account structure and governance including account mapping and account creation/close. This position will be heavily involved in the month-end close process, partnering with the business to ensure timely submission of financial data to be consolidated. This position is a critical piece of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process and will be expected to oversee and meet the tight consolidation timeline each month.
* This role is a HYBRID schedule in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday @ Bridgestone HQ in Nashville, TN. *
Responsibilities
+ Maintain financial master data records, including GL accounts, mapping tables, and reporting structures.
+ Ensure that all master data changes follow governance protocols and receive appropriate approvals.
+ Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial tools (Group Reporting & SAP), ensuring accurate data collection and reporting. Support testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements related to financial system changes.
+ Monitor and enforce internal controls related to master data and financial systems.
+ Identify and escalate risks related to financial data governance.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration & Financial Reporting
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
+ 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial systems, and/or financial governance.
+ Possess an understanding of corporate financial consolidations, internal controls, and month-end close procedures.
+ CPA or CISA certification preferred
+ Accounting/financial close and consolidation experience
+ Experience in SAP and Group Reporting
