We are looking for an experienced, team-oriented, and dynamic global team player to join Boehringer’s IT RDM Lab Notebook Informatics team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for developing solutions based on Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) in strong partnerships with the lab scientists from various business areas.

This role is based out of our Ridgefield, CT location with a flexible hybrid onsite work schedule 2-3 days per week and as needed to support the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

+ Solution Management: You will be responsible for implementing pharmaceutical analytical methods and workflows in the electronic Laboratory Notebook E-WorkBook to allow scientists to acquire, process, and evaluate their results. That includes to determine requirements and partner with IT team members and the client community to deliver IT processes that utilize technology solutions to support business objectives and improve productivity.

+ Lab Digitization: In your new role, you will closely collaboration with other functional domains within and beyond IT, to foster the lab digitization and automation. This includes integration of lab equipment’s or other lab systems into the E-WorkBook system.

+ Technical Focus: Serve as an expert on existing applications/systems and underlying architecture. Employ comprehensive knowledge to influence technology decisions. Identify IT or Pharma industry processes or technologies that could provide Boehringer Ingelheim with a competitive advantage.

+ Client Support: For both, nonGxP and GxP E-WorkBook systems, you will perform baseline system support, administrative and maintenance duties and troubleshoot application and system problems and take corrective actions.

+ Compliance: Follow documentation guidelines for support of baseline and implementation activities of the validated and non-validated E-WorkBook system.

+ Team: As a member of an agile and powerful global product team you will support the team objectives by delivering on committed tasks and action items.

Requirements

Principal Business Analyst: Associate degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field with a minimum of 7 years experience; or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or MIS, with a minimum of 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, with a minimum 3 years of experience; or relevant Business or IT experience of minimum of 7 years.

Senior Business Analyst: Associate degree in Computer Science, MIS or Natural Science with a minimum of 4 years experience; or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or MIS, or Natural Science with a minimum of 2 years of experience; or a Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Natural Science with minimum 1 year of experience; or relevant Business or IT experience of minimum of 4 years

Additional Experience:

+ Experience in working at the interface between IT and laboratory scientists with expert IT knowledge and a good understanding of laboratory processes.

+ Proven track record in developing solutions and code creation in integrated environments, ideally IDBS E-WorkBook.

+ Solid knowledge in Data Analysis and use of statistical packages.

+ Project management knowledge desirable

+ Excellent problem-solving skills with strong customer focus.

+ Team-oriented collaborative attitude with proactive and self-dependent working style.

+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal as well as ability to collaborate effectively across the organization (incl external vendors) in global, multicultural, and virtual teams.

+ Continuous learner with exceptional motivation and out-of-the-box thinker.
