    UPMC is hiring a **Full-Time, Psychometrist Assistance** to support the outpatient office in **Mechanicsburg.**

     

    Hours are **Monday-Thursday 7:55am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:55am-4:00pm.**

     

    No holidays or weekends!

    We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to **administer testing services** to our adult patient population. This role requires a calm, compassionate demeanor and the ability to work closely with individuals who may need extra time and support during assessments.

    Purpose of the Psychometrist Assistant:

    Under the supervision of a licensed neuropsychologist, administers standardized and non-standardized tests of cognitive and psychological functioning.

    Responsibilities:

    + Administer standardized tests of cognition as part of research protocols with neurocognitive outcomes

    + Score all tests administered, adhering to standardization methods or those provided by the neuropsychologist in a timely fashion

    + Creating a comfortable environment for children and adolescents in which to complete the testing

    + The technician will perform all duties under direct supervision of a licensed neuropsychologist.

    + Administer and score self-report and interview-based inventories and questionnaires completed by the patient and/or family members

    + Perform occasional administrative support tasks such as are necessary in the day-to-day operation of the Neuropsychology Service

    + Complete observations of the patient's behavior and mood during the evaluation and documenting these observations

    + Maintain testing equipment and recording forms in working condition and good supply.

    + Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or other Behavioral Science and prior neuropsychological testing experience preferred.

    + Must have excellent interpersonal skills including capacity to work with and elicit cooperation from children with significant cognitive, behavioral, and psychiatric problems.

    + Must have good professional interaction skills, good observational skills and ability to record those observations. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
