Position Specific Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Electrical Test Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for determining the critical characteristics necessary to develop test plans for electrical components (such as breakers, relays, switches, and discrete components), and supporting the testing of these components. You will work closely with the electrical engineering team and the Quality Control (QC) team to ensure the effective performance of component tests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the electrical engineering team in conducting electrical tests, including those at the component level.
• Assist in the design and implementation of comprehensive test plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, recommend effective solutions, and document findings.
• Participate in the analysis of test results and provide recommendations for process improvements or modifications.
• Work closely with a diverse team of engineers to understand current systems and suggest improvements.
• Document test procedures, specifications, and analysis reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical testing methodologies and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and concepts.
• Familiarity with electrical testing methodologies, equipment, and instruments.
• Proficiency in using electrical simulation and analysis software tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
Job Overview
This job performs activities in support of engineering operations and project completion. Employees in this role conduct engineering root cause analysis and develop cost-effective countermeasures. Individuals also perform engineering fundamental activities to support operations.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
+ Performs engineering/analytical tasks to develop reliable, cost-effective recommendations
+ Uses advanced computer models to develop and study solution feasibility
+ Prepares engineering documentation and assists with technical support for licensing and other regulatory proceedings
+ Ensures procured materials and services meet engineering specifications
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned
