Primary Job Responsibilities

+ Executes delivery of timely and accurate financial information, inclusive of recommendations, to Division, Area and Home Office personnel.

+ Assist NSS Controller to provide accurate, timely and efficient month-end close process for up to two Divisions/Areas, including providing input to Divisions.

+ Review, ensure accuracy, and provide feedback on journal entries completed by lower-level accountants, including inter-company, house close, and miscellaneous entries.

+ Analyze budget variance results and provide recommendations.

+ Compete assigned balance sheet account reconciliations, and review reconciliations performed by Staff Accountants.

+ Review fixed asset additions, disposals and transfers.

+ Analyze contingent job cost, working with Division Construction and Purchasing personnel to determine appropriate accounting reporting and action.

+ Prepare Hotel and Sales & Use Tax Returns and facilitates tax payment.

+ Facilitate in-house commissions payout and reporting.

+ Provide financial information to the NSS Controller related to internal and external audit requests.

+ Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the NSS General Ledger Team, and the collective NSS Department.

+ Attend required development training sessions as assigned throughout the year.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience

+ Minimum Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent

+ Minimum of 3+ years of accounting or finance experience

Required Licensing, Registration and/or Certifications

Required Skills/Knowledge

+ Comprehensive knowledge of accounting theory and practice

+ Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

+ Advanced Excel skills
