    The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Probationary Secondary (7-12) Mathematics Teacher. The successful candidate will need to:

     

    + Demonstrate strong skills and knowledge of secondary mathematics to include but not be limited to Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry and Calculus;

    + Exhibit an understanding of differentiated and blended learning;

    + Exhibit willingness to work with different learning styles and learning needs;

    + Effectively manage several students and/or projects at the same time in a high-paced environment;

    + Build a positive rapport with students and families;

    + Demonstrate ability to work effectively with colleagues as part of a team;

    + Demonstrate excellent written and communication skills; and

    + Make a strong commitment to professional learning and a growth mindset.

    Job Qualifications

    + Completion of a NYS Registered Program – Mathematics 7-12

    + Institutional Recommendations – Mathematics 7-12

    + New York State Teacher Certification Exam – Education All Students Test (EAS)

    + Content Specialty Test (CST) – Mathematics or Safety Net Mathematics

    + Workshop - Dignity for All Students Act

    + edTPA – Secondary Mathematics;

    + OR Other NYSED Approved Certification Pathway

    + Fingerprint Clearance
