Job Summary
The School of Dentistry is seeking a Training & Development and Faculty Recruitment Coordinator to onboard and train all new hires in various programs and support the faculty recruitment and hiring process. Provide training to staff, students, and faculty on software upgrades and workflow changes. Offer continued support and education to all staff as needed. Set up interviews and presentation schedules for faculty applicants. Guide faculty search committee chairs through the hiring process.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
* Conducts staff training and ensures users are proficient in EPIC and other software programs applicable to their role.
* Provides educational materials to leadership and management to assist in the training of their staff.
* Formulates teaching objectives in conformance with selected instructional methods such as individual coaching, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
* Assists in the creation and updating of training materials, manuals, handouts, tip sheets, videos and voiceovers.
* Identifies and assesses employee skill level and training needs.
* Monitors the effectiveness of training programs and provides meaningful feedback to curriculum developers and managers.
* Focuses efforts on aligning with the School of Dentistry’s core mission to educate excellent dentists, lead oral health discovery and innovation, and make a meaningful impact on the health of the underserved throughout the state of Utah.
* Monitors faculty postings for the School of Dentistry within the PeopleAdmin system.
* Corresponds with applicants when application is received and throughout the interview process.
* Works with applicant and references to obtain required letters of support.
* Maintains tracking spreadsheet for each faculty position posted.
* Staffs search committee meetings, records minutes, and maintains confidential files.
* Coordinates faculty candidate screening, committee and in-person interviews and presentations
* Creates flyers/announcements for faculty candidate presentations.
* Works to improve internal processes and policies for faculty recruitment and onboarding, with the Faculty Onboarding Coordinator.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related area plus two years of training experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Supervisory, project management and training development skills required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required. Master’s degree in a related area is preferred.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
