    Field Sales Rep III Seed-Virginia

    Position Overview:

    As a Sales Representative at Bayer Crop Science, you will play a crucial role in driving business success through strategic planning and execution. You will collaborate with squad-mates, including Field Sales Reps, Customer Business Advisors, Technical Agronomists, and Digital Enablement Leads, to achieve assigned targets and deliver squad goals. Your expertise will guide dealers and retailers in business planning, inventory management, and product line demand issues, ensuring Bayer Crop Science products outperform competitors. With a focus on expanding market share, you will champion Bayer brands, leveraging your product, technical, and agronomic knowledge to maximize services and sales to preferred growers and key customer accounts.

    YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Achieve assigned targets with Bayer products in coordination with squad-mates;

    + Deliver squad goals through support of others' role responsibilities;

    + Develop and implement dealer business plans, manage forecasting, inventory management, and product line demand issues;

    + Serve as the key business consultant to retailers and dealers, selling the value of Bayer Crop Science products;

    + Demonstrate proof of product performance against competition and champion Bayer brands;

    + Collaborate with squad-mates and Technology Development Representatives to maximize services and sales;

    + Manage inventory concerns to meet business objectives and anticipate demand;

    + Gather, analyze market and competitive information to drive business decisions;

    + Develop strategies for achieving business plans for key accounts and assigned area;

    + Manage expenses and program payments to enable growth;

    + Expand selling skills and product knowledge, while mentoring peers and teammates;

    + Ensure achievement of program execution and fulfillment, including marketing initiatives;

    + Lead relationships with top growers and retailers, planning for customer business needs;

    + Mentor and coach earlier-in-career Field Sales Reps;

    + Manage area claims per Bayer Crop Science policy through effective problem-solving;

    + Travel approximately 60% with significant face-to-face customer interaction.

    WHO YOU ARE:

    Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    Required Qualifications:

    + Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral, and written);

    + Initiative, assertiveness, and ability to drive results;

    + Business acumen, account planning, influencing, and critical thinking skills;

    + Expertise in financial, time, and territory management;

    + Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced and matrixed environment;

    + Strong computer and presentation skills (proficiencies in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);

    + Demonstrated digital acumen;

    + Must have a valid driver's license and are able to drive for the company that may fall under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction, including hauling trailers, product, sup\plies, or equipment safely as required for the role.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree preferred;

    + Preferred 6+ years experience in sales, marketing, account management, or agriculture, or 10+ years with other education level;

    + Demonstrated product, portfolio, and agronomic knowledge preferred.

    Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $$89,600.06 - $134,400.08. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
