    Title:Elementary Special Education Teacher on Special Assignment

     

    The Elementary Special Education TOSA will support special education programming at the elementary level.

     

    Immediate Supervisor:Director of Elementary Special Education

    Qualifications:

    + Candidate must hold New York State certification as a Special Education Teacher or Related Service Provider.

    + Deep understanding of Special Education programming at the Elementary level.

    + Deep understanding of highly effective Response to Intervention practices.

    + Have completed a minimum of five years of successful experience as classroom teaching or related service provider.

    Performance Responsibilities:

    + Provide instructional support and professional learning for Special Education Teachers

    + Collaborate with Elementary Director on supports and services for students

    + Chair CPSE meetings and provide oversight of early intervention and Special Education Preschool programming

    + Provide support for District level CSE meetings including PWNS and preparing meeting documentation

    + Oversight of tutoring support

    + Chair meetings for homeschool services

    + Attend monthly teacher leader meetings

    + Provide ongoing, direct support for special class services at the Elementary level

    + Chair building level reevaluation

     

    Salary:Minimum starting salary $46,726 (negotiable based on experience), as per the Victor Teachers' Association agreement. The VTA contract can be found on the Victor Central School District website on the Human Resources page.
