    PeaceHealth is seeking a Dir Service Line Cardiovascular for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.** **You will provide leadership and oversight for clinical operations (acute and ambulatory) and nursing practice within assigned units (Cath Lab, CV Org, PHMG clinics, Cardiac Rehab). This role is responsible for developing, promoting, and implementing a high-performing clinical services and professional nursing practice environment that ensures the delivery of exceptional patient care with a focus on safety, reliability, efficiency, and high-quality outcomes. Position drives continuous improvement efforts to enhance service, operations, and the overall patient experience while ensuring seamless coordination of clinical support services. Additionally, this role fosters a positive work environment that supports caregivers, promotes growth, enhances communication, ensures collaboration, and strengthens job satisfaction. Serving as a key liaison between medical staff, system programs, and hospital operations, the Director facilitates collaborative professional relationships that contribute to a healing and supportive environment for both patients and healthcare teams. This position upholds the organization's mission and core values, enforces compliance with nursing policies and procedures, and holds staff accountable for meeting industry best practices and regulatory standards. In collaboration with the Vice President of Surgical and Cardiovascular Services and system peers, position leads efforts to advance, develop, refine, and innovate clinical delivery operations. The role ensures that quality and performance improvement initiatives meet established targets and that all activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Position is also responsible for maintaining continuous survey readiness to uphold regulatory and accreditation standards within assigned areas.

     

    The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $79.95 – $119.93. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

    DETAILS OF THE POSITION:

    + In conjunction with the VP of Surgical and Cardiovascular Services, leads committees or councils to establish strategic direction, agenda, monitoring and facilitation of work, projects and outcomes related to clinical excellence and practice and performance improvement. Works closely with leadership throughout the organization to maximize operational efficiencies and meet capital and operating budget goals. Participates in operational planning and implementation of organizational strategic plans and ensures overall operational performance. Under the direction of the VP of Surgical and Cardiovascular Services, designs and directs the implementation of programs and processes to support organizational mission and goals. Assists and mentors Nursing Leadership in growth and development.

    + Promotes change, facilitates redesign, and implements systems and processes to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation within all programs and clinical units.

    + Creates and monitors infrastructure, systems, processes and standards to achieve desired outcomes in collaboration with medical directors, leadership, department chairs and medical staff.

    + Develops patient care programs and implement an effective ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality and outcomes of nursing care delivered to patients.

    + Partners with medical staff and nursing colleagues to ensure practice and standards are current and that care is delivered across the continuum.

    + Leads continuous improvement on issues including patient safety, healthcare quality, emerging technology and innovation. Maintains alignment with system and regional direction on these issues.

    + Manages operational units as assigned including providing leadership for clinical excellence, personnel management, fiscal accountability, operational effectiveness, and positive relations with other departments, members of the medical staff, physician practices and all stakeholders within scope and span of control.

    + Develops effective interdisciplinary relationships with medical staff to ensure the presence of an on-going quality improvement program by providing leadership for patient safety, quality improvement, service excellence and physician satisfaction.

    + Develops budget and accountable for all operational departments assigned ensuring all financial performance measures are met.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    WHAT YOU BRING:

    Education

    + Accredited School of Nursing Required and

    + Bachelor's Degree Required: Nursing and

    + Master's Degree Preferred

    Experience

    + Minimum of 5 years Required: Progressively responsible Cardiovascular Service Line leadership experience and

    + Preferred: Experience with collective bargaining units and

    + Preferred: Previous experience working with clinical teams and physician groups to reach consensus

    Credentials

    + Required: Registered Nurse in state of practice

    Skills

    + Excellent communication, both verbal and written, problem-solving, and team-building skills. (Required)

    + Excellent critical thinking skills. (Required)

    + Proven ability to drive quality improvements and operational efficiencies. (Required)

    + Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and develop nursing staff to foster a high-performance team. (Required)

    + Strong knowledge of clinical best practices, hospital operations, and regulatory compliance. (Required)

    + Demonstrated collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care (Required)

    + Ability to work effectively, respectfully and responsibility in a collaborative manner with multiple demands and short timelines. (Required)

    + Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications. (Required)

    + Demonstrated leadership ability. (Required)

    + Knowledge and experience in developing programs. (Required)

    + Demonstrated success in operations management and financial management. (Required)

     

    Working Conditions

    + Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.
