    The Durable Slate Company is looking for a Roofing Materials Manager to join our team.

     

    This position requires a working understanding of inventory control, ordering and preparing materials for outgoing construction and roofing jobs, using inventory software and working within a purchase order system.

    Responsibilities:

    + Ensuring the inventory is up-to-date, stored appropriately and in the proper locations and maintained in an orderly fashion.

    + Ordering needed materials and keeping materials in stock so they are ready for use.

    + Maintenance of equipment and tools and ensuring they are in good working order and ready for use.

    + Tracking material usage, waste, profitability etc.

    + Planning material usage in relation to scheduled jobs.

    + Fabricating metal, pulling slate and materials for specific jobs, running materials to job sites (occasionally)

    CORE REQUIREMENTS:

    + A valid driver's license that qualifies for coverage from our insurance (typically 4 points or less) is required.

    + Must be able to carry 50 lbs regularly.

    + Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screens.

    + Must be proficient with computers and inventory control software.

    + Must be able to bend, stand reach, pull, lift and carry items of various weights (up to 75 lbs.) in the warehouse

    + Loading material off and on trucks as needed.

    + A minimum of 1 year experience with managing inventory systems.

    Additional Plus Factors:

    + Familiarity with the Foundation or other inventory control software

    + Ability to fabricate metal and copper

    + Experience operating power tools and equipment

    + Forklift certification/experience

    WE OFFER:

    + STARTING PAY RATE OF $20-26/hr.
