Join Delta Dental of Iowa as aSmall Business Account Executive, where you’ll drive sales, growth and retention of our small employer (under 50 employees) dental, vision, legal, life, and disability insurance. In this dynamic role, you’ll connect through face-to-face meetings, inbound/outbound calls, and proactive outreach. You’ll also build relationships with brokers, associations, and local businesses. Essential Functions and Principal Accountabilities:
+ Quote and sell small business dental, vision, legal, life and disability insurance through face-to-face, outbound, and inbound sales channels, using a consultative sales approach.
+ Meet and exceed sales goals.
+ Support channel partners throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities, such as marketing, advertising, sales promotions, and training to achieve revenue targets.
+ Report on key performance indicators.
+ Facilitate new business and cross-sell opportunities through outbound calls.
+ Successfully manage relationships with brokers, agencies, business decision makers and other sales channels.
+ Provide support to small business sales and service team.
+ Collaborate with internal departments cross-functionally to drive new ideas and support ongoing enhancement efforts.
+ Generate new sales and different sales channels through partnerships with key stakeholders.
+ Responsible for being an advocate for members and clients by sharing their feedback with internal stakeholders.
+ Share small business insights with internal operating areas and key teams.
+ Foster an external image that is consistent with corporate values and objectives.
+ Facilitate lead generation, sales, support and foster relationships with key industries, brokers, associations, and businesses.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related degree or equivalent work experience required.
+ 5+ years related sales experience in an outside sales environment preferred.
+ Proven consultative sales skills and ability to achieve and exceed sales goals.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. CRM experience preferred.
+ Iowa Health license required or must be attained within 60 days of hire.
+ Up to 50% travel mainly in the state of Iowa.
+ Valid Iowa driver’s license required.
+ Successful candidate must pass a required background check and drug screen.
