Job Summary

The General Manager at Knox College, reporting directly to the District Manager, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the campus dining services. This role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, strong leadership, and an unwavering commitment to providing superior food quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manages all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account.

+ Oversees the day-to-day operations of an all-you-care-to-eat cafe, a fast-casual cafe, a convenience store, a cafe cart, and campus catering services.

+ Leads a team comprising approximately 50 associates, including an Executive Chef, two Sous Chefs, and a Catering Director.

+ Conducts HR functions such as hiring, progressive counseling, and terminations.

+ Oversees scheduling, payroll, and team training.

+ Maintains excellent relationships with customers, guests, clients, and other departments.

+ Collaborates with the Chef and management team to create menus and ensure top-quality food.

+ Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the Company's marketing and culinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ BS in Hospitality or Culinary degree preferred.

+ At least five years of foodservice operation experience.

+ Extensive experience in high-volume production and catering.

+ Proven track record of managing a budget.

+ A strong desire to learn and grow within a top-notch foodservice company.
