Description
Leidos' Digital Modernization Sector is seeking an **Associate Industrial Security Representative** to join our Facility Security Office in Gaithersburg - MD.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for all aspects of the personnel security functions (e.g., processing new employees for security clearances, continuous vetting, outgoing visit requests, foreign travel briefings, and other duties as assigned).
+ Provide security briefings to personnel holding collateral clearances.
+ Complete required documentation for new hires, terminations, and other security actions and ensure information is accurately recorded and maintained in the security information management system.
+ Identify root causes, develop solutions, and implement correction measures related to personnel security
+ Provide security support to the FSO in implementing the industrial security program and ensure company and customer security requirements are met.
+ Interface with all levels of Leidos personnel to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Manual 5205.07, Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides.
+ Provide assistance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) assessments and self-inspections.
+ Use company security databases and Microsoft Office tools to track personnel security processes.
+ Bring security concerns to the attention of the FSO and Program Managers.
+ Provide clear guidance to company employees regarding security policies in obtaining and maintaining a personnel security clearance.
+ Work as a team player, demonstrate flexibility, and excellent organizational skills.
Required Qualifications:
+ **Critical Thinking –** Must have experience gathering information, objectively analyzing it, and drawing conclusions while focusing on comprehension of policies, regulations, and standards
+ **Teamwork –** Must have the ability to build rapport, create a harmonious working environment, and display professional demeanor while valuing differences
+ **Judgement and Decision-Making –** Has proven ability to assess situation and information and reach sound conclusions in atypical situations
+ **Communication –** Is able to write and speak in a clear, concise, effective manger to a wide variety of audiences, including writing complex reports and displaying active listening skills
+ **Compliance –** Has experience with applicable policies, standards, laws, and rules, to include interpreting and applying against customer requirements to resolve security issues
+ **Customer Relationship Management –** Proven track record of being a self-starter and building partnerships while understanding customers’ mission, vision, and issues and prioritizing work accordingly
+ Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of security experience in National Industrial Security Program, government compliance, Department of Defense setting, or government contracting.Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Knowledge of NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives, National Background Investigation Services’ e-Application
+ U.S Citizen currently possessing an active DOD Top Secret security clearance.

+ Excellent customer service skills and strong professional demeanor and interpersonal skills. Desire to be an active contributor in the success of the mission.
+ Ability to work independently, juggle competing workloads and demands, and adapt to changing priorities with a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment.
+ Working knowledge of Security Information Management Systems (SIMS) and other databases
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI and Excel spreadsheets
+ Must be a detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Must have a solid background in industrial security and a proven track record of ensuring compliance and protecting sensitive information.
+ Must have or be able to obtain STEPP/DCSA required FSO, DISS, and Insider Threat training
+ Accreditation/certification in personnel, industrial, and/or physical security (ISP, PSC, etc.)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
