Our customer, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), provides, operates, and assures command and control of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations.This position directly supports the DISA-provided capabilities and services.
Job Description:
The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract has an opening for a Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) Operational Engineering team lead. The lead will prioritize and assign tasks, perform sustainment, maintenance, Problem and Change management services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the Department of Defense JRSS network.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead, direct, review and oversee all aspects of the JRSS OE team. Responsible for performing, training team and developing processes for the following duties:
• Perform engineering tasks related to the design, implementation, and integration of network changes and sustainment of customer systems in an Wide Area Network environment.
• Conduct planning and performance of analytical research, design development, and other tasks to align with customer specifications.
• Control network systems to ensure 99% or better system uptime and connectivity.
• Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.
• Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large scale, integrated projects. Document and present risks to project manager and leadership.
• Perform a variety of analytical tasks which include hardware and software design and implementation.
• Mentor and technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) resource for lower-level network engineers.
Basic Qualifications:
• Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or equivalent to meet requirement.
• In-depth experience analyzing VLAN, routing, IP addressing and sub-netting.
• In-depth experience with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 appliances
• In-depth experience with Intrustion Detection/Intrusion Prevention Systems
• In-depth experience troubleshooting and configuring IP networks using at least one of the following routing methods: BGP, ISIS or OSPF, Static routing.
• In-depth experience with either service provider or enterprise IP networks using an interface on Cisco (ESR and ASR) and/or Juniper routers.
• In-depth experience with ports and protocols.
• Currently possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Equally proficient in Juniper and Cisco configuration, troubleshooting, and design.
• In-depth experience with Cisco IOS XR, JUNOS, and Cisco IOS codes.
• Pearl or other language scripting capable of running backup confits and other scripting to pull information from Cisco/Juniper routers
• IPSEC configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.
• MPLS configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.
• IPV6 configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.
• Security certification and/or knowledge of DDoS and other attack vectors experienced in today' networks.
• Crypto configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.
• Layer 2/3 VPN and Firewall knowledge and experience.
• Physical cable plant and wiring experience.
• Certifications with major network system vendors such as Cisco are a strong plus.
• Excellent project, technical, interpersonal, presentation and problem management skills.
• Extensive network integration experience for a variety of network protocol standards.
• Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts.
• Familiarization of DOD regulations and directives.
Required Education and Experience:
• Requires BS degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. (Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
