    Job Summary

    Position: Clinical Pharmacist – Women’s and Children’s (Evenings)

    About NH NHRMC:

    + 9th largest health-system in North Carolina

    + 800+ beds, comprehensive stroke, and Level II trauma center

    + Includes Women’s and Children’s Center with NICU and PICU, neurology tower, medical/surgical tower, inpatient rehab, and psychiatry units

    Job Summary:

    + Provide pharmaceutical care to all age groups, focusing on the Women’s and Children’s facility

    + Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens using evidence-based medicine and standards of care

    + Evening shift: 9-hour shifts (0.8 FTE, 12:30 PM – 10:00 PM)

    + Provide pharmacy consults primarily for Women’s and Children’s facility and direct patient care, including participation in emergency situations

    + After-hours coverage for off-site facilities included

    + Contribute to maximizing hospital’s ability to meet national indicators

    + Participate in educational in-services, policy/process development, and at least one hospital or departmental committee

    + Serve as a preceptor for students and/or residents

    Job Responsibilities Breakdown:

    + Direct Patient Care: 60%

    + Order Verification/Distribution: 20%

    + Education: 15%

    + Administration: 5%

    Additional Requirements:

    + BLS and ACLS certification

    + Publication experience

    Qualifications:

    + Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy

    + Completed a PGY1 residency or equivalent with pediatric experience

    + Eligible for North Carolina licensure

    + Board Certification encouraged

    Qualifications

    + Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification. Doctorate of Pharmacy PhD, preferred.

    + Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy, required.

    + Licensure/Certification: Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required. Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the role; excludes PRN team members who may not be eligible to take certification exam, required.

    + Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.
