    About this role

     

    The **Carrier HVAC Aftermarket Team** is seeking a skilled and experienced **Manager (Aftermarket Supply Planning)** to join our HVAC Planning team **onsite** in **Syracuse NY** .

     

    The **Manager (Aftermarket Supply Planning)** is responsible for leading the internal supply planning team which focuses on both the material planning and procurement activities and works to ensure the seamless flow of materials to meet aftermarket customer demand. The **Manager (Aftermarket Supply Planning)** must have a strong background in supply chain management, experience defining material planning and inventory strategies, the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively, and strong people leadership skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Leadership: Lead and oversee the material planning team, ensure alignment with strategic goals. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, promote a collaborative and high-performing culture.

    + Strategic Planning: Develop and implement robust strategies for effective material management and purchasing activities. Guarantee the seamless integration of supply chain processes to meet the company's objectives.

    + Inventory Management: Define appropriate inventory levels to balance supply and demand effectively; reduce excess stock without compromising availability. Implement strategies for optimal inventory turnover.

    + Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee the timely and accurate availability of materials. Build strong relationships to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication.

    + Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve processes and systems to achieve better efficiency and performance. Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that streamline operations and boost productivity.

    + ERP Systems Management: Confirm the proper functioning of ERP systems; utilize systems to full potential for efficient material planning and inventory control.

    Basic Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree

    + 5+ years of experience in material/supply planning or supply chain management

    + 2+ years of experience in managing a team

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or business administration

    + Master’s degree in supply chain management

    + Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar

    + Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE

    + Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions

    + English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills

    + Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

    + Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

    Pay Range:

    $90,263 - $157,959 Annually
