Join Our Global Team as Assistant Director, Global Payroll (Americas)!
Are you ready to lead payroll operations across borders and make an impact on a global scale? We’re looking for a strategic, detail-driven, and people-first leader to step into the role of Assistant Director, Global Payroll (Americas). In this high-impact position, you’ll oversee the end-to-end payroll process for employees in multiple international locations ensuring seamless, timely, and accurate payroll execution that keeps our global team thriving.
What You'll Do:
+ **Lead with Purpose:** Manage and inspire a team of Payroll Analysts handling daily payroll operations across multiple international countries.
+ **Own Global Payroll Execution:** Ensure accurate, on-time processing of payroll transactions collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and keep things running smoothly.
+ **Drive Operational Excellence:** Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll data (personnel, benefits, wages, taxes) on monthly, quarterly, and year-end cycles.
+ **Champion Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner closely with internal departments including HR, benefits, and expense teams to gather critical data needed for payroll processing.
+ **Build Strong Vendor Relationships:** Work hand-in-hand with global payroll vendors and support the Global Payroll Director in vendor management for international payroll services.
+ **Bridge Finance & Payroll:** Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate posting of payroll journal entries.
+ **Leverage Global Expertise:** Apply your knowledge of international payroll processes including tax regulations, benefit structures, proration calculations, and statutory requirements.
+ **Innovate & Optimize:** Identify process improvement opportunities and lead initiatives around system upgrades and payroll automation.
+ **Go Beyond Borders:** Offer support to payroll operations in APAC and EMEA regions as needed.
Who You Are
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
+ CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or equivalent regional certification preferred, a big plus if you’ve got it!
+ 7+ years of hands-on payroll experience, with deep expertise in managing complex payroll operations
+ Proven leadership experience - you’ve successfully led teams and know how to inspire and guide others
+ Multi-country payroll expertise in the Americas, especially the U.S., Mexico, and Chile
+ Strong command of payroll tax laws, labor compliance, and statutory regulations across the region
+ Experienced in using global payroll platforms and vendors (e.g., ADP GlobalView, Celegro)
+ Skilled in payroll systems and integrating with leading HRIS/ERP tools like Workday, SAP, or Oracle
+ Bonus points if you speak Spanish or Portuguese!
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$123000 - $167000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
