    Job Description:

    The Recreational Therapist establishes and implements treatment programs individually designed to facilitate the development, maintenance, and expression of an appropriate leisure lifestyle for patients who have had a major physical, emotional or chemical dependency issue.

    + Pay Range: $23.25 - $35.89 Non Exempt

    + Benefits Eligible: Yes

    + FTE:Flexible Part-Time to Full Time

    + Shift: Days, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.

    + Location:Matt's Place, Summit Day Treatment, and MKD inpatient

    Essential Functions

    + Maintains safe, consistent, and supportive environment by providing care in accordance with the multi-disciplinary treatment team, treatment plan and programs to meet patient care needs.

    + Coordinates the performance of subjective and objective initial and ongoing evaluations of patient's according to diagnosis, past history and physician referral.

    + Assures the definition of realistic goals for rehabilitation following assessment of specific problems.

    + Communicates treatment recommendations based on recreation assessment to the treatment team and identifies treatment intervention strategies to facilitate treatment planning.

    + Facilitates the assessment and re-assessment of the patient's physical and/or emotional problems and needs for recreational therapy as determined by history and results of evaluation procedures.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Current TRS licensure.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Computer Skills, i.e., email, word processing.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelors Degree in Recreational Therapy from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).

    + Current National Certification in Therapeutic Recreation.

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
