• Web Development Intern

    IAP Worldwide Services, Inc (Melbourne, FL)


    As a Web Development Intern , you will be responsible for assisting Intrepid’s Information Technology (IT) team.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Write custom HTML, PHP, and CSS for existing websites and applications.

    • Build, program, test APIs to interface with or between applications

    • Good understanding of AWS Linux – based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL

    • Working with WordPress for external websites

    • Security best practices

    • Modernize where possible

    • Certificate renewals, generation, configuration

    • Design, recommend and pitch improvements to new and existing features.

    • Assist in troubleshooting issues on web-based systems.

    • Update and edit website content, posts and pages.

    • Provide technical support related to web-based systems to internal teams.

    • Test and give feedback on new and existing technologies.

    • Other duties as assigned

    INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

    + Must be available 20 hours each week through Summer 2025

    + Must be a full-time undergraduate/graduate student in good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    + Maintain good (digital) citizenship.

    + Must uphold, enforce, and abide by all Intrepid policies.

    + Strong writing skills.

    + Preference given to students with working knowledge of TCP/IP, Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, and web design.

    + Preference given to students enrolled with a concentration in Information Technology or Computer Science.
