    Description:** **Database Engineer Asc \- Level 1

    What You Will Be Doing

    As a Database Engineer Associate, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining data systems that support the F\-35 Reliability and Maintainability team\. You’ll assist in building and optimizing data architectures, developing ETL processes, and ensuring the integrity and accessibility of sustainment data across a large\-scale enterprise data warehouse\. Working alongside experienced engineers and analysts, you’ll support the delivery of accurate, actionable insights that help drive fleet readiness and long\-term performance\. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skillset in database engineering while contributing to one of the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft programs\.

    Key Responsibilities

    \- Develop, validate, and document complex data relationships in a data warehouse environment to support F\-35 sustainment operations\.

     

    \- Design and implement ETL \(Extract, Transform, Load\) processes and reusable scripts to manage and optimize data flow and quality\.

     

    \- Perform data quality checks and implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy, integrity, and consistency\.

     

    \- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau and IBM Cognos\.

     

    \- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to understand data needs and translate requirements into scalable database solutions\.

     

    \- Support the development of system requirements and documentation for future enhancements of the data repository\.

     

    \- Utilize technologies including SQL Server, Python, and Alteryx to support automation, analytics, and data modeling tasks\.

     

    \- Contribute to sustainment planning and decision\-making by providing reliable and timely data insights\.

    Who You Are

    You are a motivated and detail\-oriented early\-career data professional with a strong interest in database architecture and analytics\. You have foundational experience or academic exposure to data management, ETL development, and data quality assurance\. You're eager to apply your skills in SQL, Python, Alteryx, and visualization tools like Tableau or IBM Cognos in a real\-world environment\. You thrive in collaborative settings, communicate effectively with technical and non\-technical stakeholders, and are driven to contribute to high\-impact projects that support critical aircraft sustainment operations\. You have a passion for learning, a continuous improvement mindset, and are ready to grow within a high\-performance team\.

     

    Fort Worth, TX **This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth\.**

     

    Position may start at the main LM Aeronautics plant in Fort Worth and then move to the Beach Street location in north Fort Worth\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree from an accredited college

     

    Coursework or experience with databases, SQL, Python and/or Tableau\.

    Excel Experience

    Desired Skills:

    Knowledge and understanding of large databases and analysis techniques\.

     

    Coursework or experience with Oracle or HANA\.

     

    Coursework or experience with Tableau, IBM Cognos, or other data visualization tools\.

     

    Experience working in a hybrid team environment\.

     

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills\.

     

    Coursework or experience in Software and/or Data Analytics\.

     

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
