    Job Description

    This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    + Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into technical designs and implementations.

    + Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using modern technologies.

    + Take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

    + Guide and mentor team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.

    + Research and integrate AI technologies to improve workflows and enhance application capabilities.

    + Leverage tools like Copilot to increase development productivity and efficiency.

    + Work in an agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

    + Implement DevOps principles to streamline CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployments.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

     

    - Five to six years of relevant experience

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    + Expertise in backend development using **Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js** .

    + Proficiency in frontend development with **ReactJS,** JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks.

    + Experience with **Kafka** for event-driven architectures and messaging systems.

    + Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like **Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP** .

    + Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Rancher.

    + Familiarity with **API management tools such as Apigee for API design and management.**

    + Strong knowledge of **NoSQL databases like Cassandra and MongoDB.**

    + Experience in building and deploying cloud-native applications and **microservices** .

    + Adept at implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/CloudBees.

    + Knowledge of secure coding practices, **OAuth, API security, and performance optimization.**

    _The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days_

    The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,605.00 - $131,300.00 - $144,430.00
