Critical Environment Operations Manager

As a Critical Environment Operations Manager for Experis, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of mission-critical data center environments. This position requires a hands-on, solutions-oriented professional with deep experience managing technical teams and complex infrastructure systems.

You will be responsible for overseeing program operations, managing cross-functional teams, and maintaining operational excellence through adherence to safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and service level agreements. Success in this role is measured by your ability to lead through influence, drive process improvements, and foster strong partnerships across client and vendor stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As a successful Critical Environments Operations Manager (CEOM), your performance objectives will be to:

+ Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of our Datacenter operations.

+ Oversee a team of data center IT technicians, CE technicians and IT and CE leads supporting our clients’ online services.

+ Oversee development of standard operating procedures/building operating protocols and drive their implementation.

+ Work with our client groups and delivery teams to drive remediation of issues (including onboarding, training and mentorship) from concept to completion.

+ Understand and ensure compliance with applicable building and safety codes and local, state, and federal rules, codes, and regulations.

+ Coordinate with managed service program and contingent staff members to ensure adherence to contracted SLAs.

+ Establish and enhance strong working relationships and engagement with clients Operations and learning and development teams to share and build best practices across the entire datacenter portfolio.

+ 10% to 20% travel required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of relevant work experience in a Datacenter or other critical environment facility, working with the operation of building cooling, electrical, mechanical and life safety systems, Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM), and Building Automation Systems (BAS).

+ 3+ years of experience leading and motivating a technical workforce.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in applicable management field or relevant work experience

+ Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or services

+ 5 years of experience operating as a manager or manager of managers in data centers or a critical environment facility.

+ 10 years of relevant experience managing data center operations, facility engineering operations, critical environment facilities, data center buildouts and scaling, general manufacturing, or similar critical environment responsible for delivering results with strict deadlines and cost constraints.

+ Experience working on large scale Critical Environment projects

+ Experience with the operation of IT infrastructure (Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.)
