    Abbott Park IL- Onsite

     

    9+ month contract with high potential for extension and can convert to permanent.

     

    Pay range: $35 - $40/hr on W2

    Job Description:

    Role: Responsible for executing purchasing and supply management strategies created by the Category Managers. This role involves working closely with customers, divisions, and Category Managers to drive the 'One Abbott Procurement' model.

     

    Education:** **Bachelor’s degree Experience: 5+ years of experience in procurement and/or deep category experience. Experience in IT Procurement, preferably in Telecom and IT Networking

     

    Skills:** **Experience managing and engaging with senior stakeholders to cultivate win-win relationships Strong influence, project management, change management, budget review, financial analysis, and negotiating skills Excellent people skills and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in spreadsheet programs Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong contracting skills, including reviewing and redlining contracts

     

    Preferred Qualifications:** **Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Experience managing and negotiating with Tier-1 Telecom and Global Network Suppliers Experience using SAP Ariba software Good organizational skills, including program/project management governance Global experience and knowledge of global markets Relevant business process knowledge related to procurement and category management Extensive knowledge of category technologies and products Experience leading teams, both direct staff and indirect project teams Finance experience, including financial benchmarking, spend management, savings tracking, or cost breakdowns Analytical experience
