    What we want

     

    As a Program Coordinator I, you'll have the exciting opportunity to design and implement a variety of programs, from challenge course events and workshops to seminars and adventure activities. You'll also lead facilitator trainings and drive fundraising efforts for the course.     Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience

    + Two years of experience organizing or facilitating ropes and challenge-related programs

    + Two years of experience with maintaining or facilitating ropes and challenge-related courses/facilities

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Proven ability to train groups of people, with a focus on conducting internal trainings

    + Hands-on experience in course maintenance and labor, including tasks such as repairing and maintaining equipment (e.g., zipline maintenance)

    + Proficiency in marketing through various channels, including phone and social media

    + Demonstrated ability to manage finances responsibly, ensuring that all earnings are allocated to the program

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

    + Ability to design and market challenge/ropes programs

    + Ability to budget and plan

    + Ability to manage financial operations

    + Ability to perform basic maintenance of a large outdoor course and related facilities (e.g., mowing, repairs)

    Responsibilities

    ChallengeWorks Coordination:

    + Oversees and performs maintenance of challenge works course and the buildings and grounds therein

    + Develops and implements marketing strategies of the different Challenge Works programs

    + Oversees and hires additional workers to implement programs as needed

    Low & High-Element Programs:

    + Develops and facilitates both low and high-element programs for youth, college-age and professional populations

    Invoicing & Payment:

    + Works with the KNSM business office staff to invoice programs and pay facilitators

    + Responsible for garnering funding to pay for all staff and operations of the Challengeworks programs

    Accreditation and Licensing:

    + Oversees adherence to Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) standards for annual inspections and facilitator certifications. Performs other duties as assigned

    Physical Requirements:

    + Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

    + Ability to lead high and ropes course programs in a safe manner, including all aspects of demonstration and safety

    + Ability to perform light maintenance, including mowing and general repairs
