    Job Title: Senior Cloud Developer

     

    Primary Location: Reston, VA or Washington, DC

     

    Clearance: Top-Secret (TS) Clearance

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Developer to join our technology team. This individual will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable, and robust cloud solutions across Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Data as a Service (DaaS) models.

     

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, DevSecOps automation, and application migration strategies. You’ll work independently and collaboratively to develop new cloud-native applications, enhance existing cloud solutions, and ensure secure and efficient use of cloud environments.

    Responsibilities:

    •    Architect and develop service delivery models and cloud frameworks (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, DaaS).

    •    Design and implement cloud automation using DevSecOps practices and tools.

    •    Lead cloud migration initiatives by analyzing existing applications and recommending suitable cloud deployment models.

    •    Evaluate and implement cost optimization strategies and failure/recovery mechanisms.

    •    Ensure compliance with cloud governance policies and security protocols.

    •    Develop and debug cloud-native and hybrid applications, including creating deployment pipelines and scripting automation.

    •    Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies.

    •    Monitor, manage, and optimize cloud resources and environments to ensure uptime, performance, and scalability.

    •    Maintain documentation through Jira and Confluence, and support audit-readiness activities.

    Required Qualifications:

    •    Active Top Secret clearance (required).

    •    8+ years of hands-on cloud development and architecture experience.

    •    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or 4 additional years of related experience in lieu of degree).

    •    Strong expertise in AWS (designing, implementing, managing complex systems).

    •    Working knowledge of Azure and Citrix environments.

    •    Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Python, and JSON.

    •    Experience with Active Directory policies and management.

    •    Proficiency with Splunk for monitoring and logging cloud environments.

    •    Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including use of Jira and Confluence.

    •    Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    •    Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).

    •    Experience with hybrid cloud strategies and multi-cloud environments.

    •    Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and regulatory compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
