    Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect

     

    Primary Location: Reston, VA or Washington, DC

     

    Clearance: Top-Secret (TS) Clearance

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to lead and execute advanced architecture and system design across complex, mission-critical projects. The ideal candidate will bring at least 8 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and security compliance. You will collaborate with senior technical stakeholders, program managers, and external organizations to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.​​​​​​​

    Responsibilities:

    •    Provide advanced architecture design, planning, testing, and operational support for system development and engineering.

    •    Lead system integration efforts to ensure alignment with enterprise goals, performance, and security requirements.

    •    Serve as the technical liaison among internal teams, program managers, and external stakeholders.

    •    Support Assessment and Authorization (ATO) and security accreditation processes.

    •    Apply broad, in-depth technical knowledge across one or more disciplines including cloud, microservices, containerization, and infrastructure automation.

    •    Drive quality and standardization in both frontend and backend development practices.

    •    Guide teams on modern DevSecOps methodologies including CI/CD, testing automation, and infrastructure-as-code.

    •    Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile practices, workflows, and documentation.

    Required Qualifications:

    •    Active Top Secret clearance (required).

    •    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline (or four additional years of directly related experience in lieu of degree)

    •    8+ years of experience in system architecture, software development, or engineering roles

    •    Proven leadership in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure and scalable software systems

    •    Frontend: Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Material UI. Strong understanding of RESTful principles and API design

    •    Backend: Expertise in Node.js (Express, NestJS), Java (v8+), Go. Experience with SOAP services, Maven, Gradle, npm package management

    •    Cloud & Infrastructure: Strong experience with AWS services including Lambda, EKS, RDS, Aurora, IAM, VPC. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, container orchestration, and Linux system administration Infrastructure as Code with Terraform

    •    DevSecOps: Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Git version control, SonarQube, SAST tools

    •    Experience with automated testing (Jest, Mocha, Chai) and E2E testing (Selenium, Cucumber).

    •    Data: Working knowledge of PostgreSQL 15+, Liquibase, YAML/JSON data structures

    •    Understanding of EAV modeling and data architecture principles

    •    Process & Collaboration: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, especially SAFe Agile. Proficient with Jira, Confluence, and other project management tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders

    Preferred Qualifications:

    •    AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Kubernetes Administrator certification

    •    Experience with security compliance standards such as FedRAMP, NIST, or RMF

    •    Familiarity with Splunk administration and monitoring best practices
