Overview and Responsibilities:

CBS Media Ventures is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Communications to join our team working on day-to-day publicity for multiple syndicated shows.

Based in New York, the ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in television publicity and exceptional talent relations skills. Previous experience working in syndication, news or the station community is a plus. Team mentality is a must.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Devise and implement strategic consumer and trade publicity campaign for multiple shows, as well as maintain momentum throughout the season.

+ Pitch all consumer-facing media ranging from traditional print media to broadcast to online. Have superior skills in selecting compelling video clips, photos and assets to promote the show to viewers.

+ Write press releases, talking points, bios and collateral publicity materials; book and coordinate print/online press interviews, talk show appearances, photo shoots, set visits, press junkets and any other press-related functions.

+ Establish close working relationships and positive rapport with talent, executive producers and key executives.

+ Work closely across departments including affiliate relations, marketing and digital.

Basic Qualifications:

+ 7+ years in entertainment publicity at a network, studio or agency

+ Team oriented, always willing to pitch in to help a colleague

+ News and pop culture junkie

+ Exceptional writing and communication skills, as well as people skills

+ Solid press contacts across all media

+ Ability to travel when necessary

+ Must be detail-oriented problem solverwho takes initiative

+ Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

+ College degree desireable, preferably in communications, journalism or a related field

CMV produces or distributes The Drew Barrymore Show, Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Hot Bench, Pictionary and the new game show Flip Side, as well as the Judge Judy and Dr. Phil libraries. The division also handles national barter advertising sales for Debmar-Mercury's and Fox's first-run syndicated programming. CMV is a division of Paramount.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $95,000.0 - 115,000.0.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
