    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Summary

    As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to the full lifecycle of software development – from architectural design and prototyping to deployment and maintenance of innovative solutions. You’ll drive the development of scalable, data-driven applications and products, including ETL pipelines, APIs, and user-facing interfaces. This role requires cross-functional collaboration, a strong understanding of modern software development best practices, and a cloud-first mindset. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about delivering impactful solutions in accelerated development cycles.

    What you will Do:

    + Design, develop, and maintain scalable, dependable, and maintainable end-to-end software solutions, including user interfaces, middle-tier services, and data layers.

    + Produce high-quality, modular, and reusable code that adheres to modern software development best practices.

    + Implement and maintain application monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system reliability, performance, and early detection of issues.

    + Estimate and plan work effort required for software features, contributing to sprint planning and roadmap alignment.

    + Collaborate across teams to identify, escalate, and resolve software development issues and risks.

    + Adhere to and advocate for best practices in software architecture, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native development.

    + Build, maintain, and enhance ETL pipelines to support the data needs of software applications and systems.

    + Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, evaluation plans, test results, and user manuals.

    + Lead or contribute to troubleshooting efforts for web applications, APIs, and data systems, including ETL-related incidents.

    + Provide after-hours/on-call support as needed.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Bachelor's degree or combination of education and professional experience required

    + Master's degree preferred

    + 5+ years of experience in a software development role required

    + Rapid Application Development (RAD): Familiarity with iterative and incremental development approaches, including prototyping and rapid deployment cycles.

    + Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with cloud development technologies (Google Cloud Platform preferred)

    + Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in multiple primary programming languages (Python, Javascript, C#)

    + Query Languages: SQL experience (BigQuery [googleSQL], MS SQL Server [t-SQL], PostGresDB [pgSQL])

    + Data Acquisition: Ability to connect to and retrieve data from APIs, cloud storage, SQL databases, and flat files.

    + Data Transformation: Competency in writing robust parsing logic, applying schema transformations, and data normalization for downstream consumption.

    + Data Sources & Formats: Familiarity with diverse data formats (CSV, JSON, HL7, FHIR) and sources (APIs, databases, flat files, real-time streams).

    + Architecture: Working knowledge of streaming and event driven architectures

    + API Development: Strong understanding of best practices in the design and implementation of REST-based APIs

    + DevOps/ Version Control: Understanding of DevOps practices (Version Control & Agile Tools: Git, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub Actions, etc.)

    + Support and Monitoring: Experience with monitoring and instrumentation practices

    + Agile Tools: Scrum/Agile experience

    + Essentials Skills: Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

    + Context Switching: Skillfully navigating and reprioritizing tasks in response to shifting operational demands.

    + Prototyping: Ability to build rapid proofs-of-concept and iterate quickly based on stakeholder feedback.

    + Service and Quality Excellence: Ability to demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to delivering exceptional care to create an unmatched value proposition for our patients.
