As the Conference and Event Manager, you will be the link between clients and hotel operations, ensuring events are planned and executed smoothly. Your role includes managing event bookings, optimizing revenue, and identifying up-sell opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Client Liaison:** Communicate with clients to finalize event documents.
+ **Banquet Coordination:** Distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) on time.
+ **Upselling:** Present upgrade options to clients and manage agreements.
+ **Event Management:** Conduct pre-and post-event meetings to ensure client satisfaction.
+ **Room Blocks:** Monitor guest room allocations and optimize revenue.
+ **Payment Management:** Oversee client payments from deposits to final billing.
+ **Documentation:** Use hotel software to document interactions and attach necessary documents.
+ **Client Engagement:** Coordinate tours and meetings, and be present during key event moments.
+ **Sales Support:** Assist in sales activities and manage BEO documentation.
+ **Revenue Verification:** Audit banquet checks for accurate revenue posting.
+ **Billing Oversight:** Review bills post-event for accuracy.
+ **Commission Management:** Process commission payments and manage loyalty points.
+ **Meeting Participation:** Attend various event-related meetings.
+ **Clerical Tasks:** Handle phone calls, reservations, billing inquiries, and maintain files.
+ **Social Media:** Maintain hotel social media accounts with regular postings.
Qualifications:
+ **Experience:** Minimum 2 years in event services or hotel group sales.
+ **Technology:** Proficient in Microsoft Office, Delphi.FDC (Salesforce), and Social Tables.
+ **Travel:** Less than 20%, valid driver’s license required.
+ **Competencies:** Organizational agility, negotiating skills, and customer focus.
