The Collateral Management department supports the collateralization of the derivative, repurchase agreement (repo), forward, and foreign exchange (FX) businesses of Wells Fargo. This group supports nearly 30,000 clients across all businesses product lines, and multiple legal entities. . WFCM actions approximately 900 margin calls daily and responsible for the settlement and front to back management of the collateral for those clients.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead or participate in moderately complex derivatives products within Capital Markets Middle Office
+ Contribute to large scale planning related to profit and loss generation, attribution and trades
+ Review, analyze and resolve moderately complex trade issues that require in-depth evaluation
+ Resolve moderately complex trade issues
+ Lead team to meet functional area and process deliverables
+ Deliver solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
+ Lead projects and assist senior managers with industry related initiatives
+ Serve as a mentor for less experienced analysts
+ Compare trade position files from external counter-parties to resolve timely margin call disputes
+ Perform trade decompositions to validate current mark-to-market exposures
+ Review and present collateral margin calls and respond the demands submitted by our counterparties
+ Work with internal departments (various Middle Offices, Documentation, Marketers, Legal) to resolve all discrepancies
+ Produce and distribute ad-hoc reporting requirements to clients
+ Cross-train future staff members to assist and independently perform daily Derivative Collateral Management margin responsibilities
+ Consistently seek opportunities to improve processes, controls and procedures within the Collateral Management team
+ Partner with the project team to develop requirements for system enhancements and assist with user acceptance testing
Required Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
+ 3 + years of applicable Derivative Collateral Management margin experience or like corporate work experience
+ Strong client services skills
+ Understanding of Calypso, Imagine, Opics, Endur, Broadridge and other mainframe trading systems
+ Firm understanding of derivative trading (Interest Rate Swaps, Swaptions, Floors, Caps, Commodities Cross-currency, FX, Equity, Repo, TBA etc.) mechanics and payment reset schedules
+ Knowledge of and possess ability to interpret executed International Swaps and Derivatives Association Master Agreements, Credit Support Annex documents, Master Repurchase Agreement, Global Repurchase Agreement, Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreement and North American Energy Standards Board.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
+ Basic Microsoft Office skills
+ Strong knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products
+ Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
