Role Overview
We're seeking a Principal Product Manager-Technical to own core elements of the Pricing strategy for our US business. This strategic role will define and execute pricing structures, drive insights, and develop the technology vision that powers our pricing systems. The ideal candidate will shape pricing as a core market differentiator while partnering with senior leadership across product, commercial, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end pricing strategy including rate structure, list rates, discounts, and fees
• Drive regional benchmarking, price positioning, and profit analysis
• Develop and execute pricing strategies for new business lines and seasonal events
• Create and maintain pricing-specific metrics and program performance monitoring
• Lead global business level pricing narratives for monthly/quarterly reviews and long-term planning
• Establish SOPs, training programs, and process improvements
• Partner with science and product teams to shape technology vision and roadmap
• Assess new demand opportunities and develop corresponding pricing strategies

The World Wide (WW) Pricing management team drives strategic balance between growth and profit, focusing on long-term customer value and financial viability. We operate at the intersection of demand, operational, and economic planning, tackling challenges from CEO-level strategy to complex mathematical optimization. Our diverse problem space makes this an ideal role for those excited by data-driven strategic decision-making at scale.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven track record in pricing strategy and execution
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience communicating with and presenting to senior executives
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or shipping industries
- Track record of driving results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Strong technical background and experience working with data science teams
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
- 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
