STAFF ACCOUNTANT II salary range $60,000 -$65,000
Ther Edinburg center is a $37 million nonprofit, community-based agency in Bedford MA seeking a Staff Accountant II . The Staff Accountant II is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the accounting team with reconciliations, billing, and other financial tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities:
Credit and PEX Card Management
+ Issue and fund PEX cards for residential homes.
Month-End Close
+ Prepare monthly reconciliations for various accounts, including:
+ Bank account
+ Clearing accounts
+ Client resident fees
+ Client loans
+ Reserves for bad debt
+ Assist in the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and supporting documentation.
Audit Support
+ Serve as an audit assistant by gathering and organizing documentation requested by internal and external auditors.
+ Assist with year-end audit preparation and respond to audit inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Maintain well-organized financial records to ensure audit readiness and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
Special Projects and Cross-Training
+ Support additional accounting initiatives as directed by the Accounting Manager.
+ Perform ad hoc financial analyses and reporting as needed to support business decisions.
+ Cross-train on other accounting functions to provide backup support as needed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and operations of the Accounting Department.
+ Manage the issuance and administration of corporate credit cards
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
+ Excellent attention to detail, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
+ Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software, with intermediate-level Excel skills. Knowledge of Teams is a plus.
