Ed Herrington Inc. is currently seeking full-time Millwork Receiver for Monday - Friday, 7a-4p, every other Saturday 7a-3p.

SUMMARY
Supports customer service through coordination of receiving process with accurate verification and recordkeeping on incoming & outgoing shipments & prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Assumes responsibility for all receiving documents throughout the process.
+ Performs the process of receiving of all merchandise for the Yard, including stock and special order items.
+ Daily enters the detailed receiving of purchase orders into the computer operating system on the day of receipt.
+ Schedules the check in times of purchase orders.
+ Directs paperwork to appropriate pass off locations.
+ Maintains work and receiving areas in a neat and orderly manner observing all safety requirements.
+ Provides input for system improvements to increase efficiency.
+ Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
+ Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
+ Performs load checks prior to deliveries being released to drivers.
+ Maintains inventory control accuracy during receiving processing.
+ Works with Yard Receiving/Inventory Specialist on cycle count process and maintenance of Yard count calendar.
+ Works with Purchasing & vendors on any material to be sent back to a vendor.
+ Works with EHI employees on any yard transfers. Verifies quantities shipped and received, processes and updates transfer documents, processes transfers the same as vendor receipts.
+ Maintains Special Order System area by separating, storing, labeling, and contacting appropriate department upon the receipt of sold or special order items.
+ Contacts customers to let them know their Special Order is in and available for pickup or delivery.
+ Maintains upkeep of work areas to included placing received items in proper storage, labeling as necessary for quick identification.
+ Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
+ Performs Yard/WH activities as assigned.
+ Participates in all required training assignments.
+ Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties.

Education/Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.

Language Skills
Ability to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, & procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports & correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job the employee will need to frequently communicate with others and must be able to exchange accurate information. Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment. Frequently needs to lift and/or move items that weigh up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Working conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Other
Full or part time position, assigned hours in a Sunday through Saturday workweek.
Proficient in ECS – sales, SKU and price look up
Proficient with tools required to complete receiving processes.
Certified forklift operator.
