Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to oversee comprehensive payroll operations for a team in New Brighton, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will manage full-cycle payroll, ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations, and prepare union reports with precision. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll systems and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including data collection, timesheet review, and accurate payment distribution.
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time for all employees, addressing adjustments and deductions as needed.
• Maintain and update payroll records, reflecting changes in salaries, benefits, and other employee information.
• Prepare detailed reports for union requirements, including dues and pension contributions, while ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
• Handle payroll tax filings at the federal, state, and local levels, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Stay informed about changes in payroll tax laws and implement updates accordingly to maintain compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and collaborate with teams to enhance system functionality.
• Conduct regular audits to verify data accuracy and adherence to established payroll policies.
• Generate payroll reports and analyze data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration, including full-cycle payroll and union reporting.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll and payroll tax regulations.
• Proficiency with payroll software and systems, such as Workday or similar platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing payroll operations.
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills to address payroll discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to meet deadlines.
• Certified Payroll designation is a plus.
