Description We are looking for an experienced attorney with specialized expertise in Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93A (Consumer Protection Act) to join our legal team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will focus on providing strategic legal counsel, managing complex litigation, and defending clients in high-stakes consumer protection cases. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, detail-oriented individual to utilize their deep knowledge of consumer law and litigation to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in disputes involving Chapter 93A claims, including cases of unfair or deceptive trade practices.
• Draft, review, and respond to Chapter 93A demand letters to effectively resolve conflicts.
• Lead litigation efforts in state and federal courts, managing pretrial motions, depositions, discovery, and settlements.
• Develop and execute trial strategies for consumer protection cases to ensure favorable outcomes.
• Provide legal advice on compliance with Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act to minimize litigation risks.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of regulatory frameworks related to Chapter 93A.
• Build strong client relationships by delivering proactive and strategic legal counsel.
• Collaborate with colleagues and less experienced attorneys to create effective strategies for complex consumer disputes.
• Mentor less experienced associates by sharing expertise in Chapter 93A and consumer protection law.
• Maintain professionalism and discretion while managing high-pressure negotiations. Requirements • Active membership and good standing with the Massachusetts bar.
• At least 6-8 years of legal practice, with significant experience in Chapter 93A litigation and consumer protection law.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic performance.
• Proven ability to develop legal strategies for resolving high-value consumer and business disputes.
• Exceptional skills in legal research, writing, and analysis.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Experience managing litigation processes, including trial preparation and attendance.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks related to consumer protection.
