Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal to assist attorneys specializing in estate planning and related areas of law. This role involves supporting attorneys in the preparation and administration of documents and filings for Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Health Care Directives, tax planning, and litigation matters, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and professionalism to a fast-paced, client-focused work environment.
+ Assist attorneys with drafting estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, and Health Care Directives.
+ Prepare materials for Estate, Gift, and Generation-Skipping Tax Planning, including completing Estate and Gift Tax Returns.
+ Draft Charitable Gift Planning documents, including those related to representation of public charities and private foundations.
+ Support estate and trust administration, including gathering financial documents, preparing accountings, and compiling inventories.
+ Manage probate filings and assist in probate litigation processes.
+ Conduct legal research related to estate and trust administration, tax planning, litigation, and business succession strategies.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including tax regulations, charitable gift planning rules, and corporate governance of family entities.
+ Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, provide updates, and respond to inquiries under attorney supervision.
+ Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with professionalism.
+ Assist in the creation and documentation of family limited partnerships, closely-held corporations, and limited liability companies for business succession and asset protection purposes.
+ Provide litigation support for estate and trust disputes, including preparing summaries, organizing exhibits, and assisting with discovery.
Requirements
+ Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited institution preferred.
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal in estate planning, probate, tax planning, or related fields.
