Description We are seeking an Accounting Clerk for a possible temporary to hire opportunity in the Jenkintown area. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Customer Ledgers. Must be proficient with General Ledger reporting and variance analysis.
Accounting Functions:
• Handling all accounts payable including maintaining vendor data and inquiries.
• Responsible for timely entry, approval and payment.
• Ensuring correct pricing, purchase order matching and receipt of merchandise.
• Will assist Direct of Finance with A/R aging and reporting.
• Monthly reporting of requisitions to Authority Board Members.
• Payroll backup for Director of Finance.
• Ensuring compliance with municipal accounting procedures and regulations.
Customer Service Functions:
• Assist with customer service inquiries; both by phone and on site.
• Fostering positive interactions and developing long-term relationships with customers.
• Guiding customers through processes for payments electronically.
• Accepting and processing utility payments at office counter and through the mail as needed.
• Backup to front office (Required of all personnel)
Qualifications:
• Excellent customer service skills is a must.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Excel and Pivot Table Proficiency is strongly desired for data analysis.
• QuickBooks Experience
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle customer inquiries effectively.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data processing.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage inquiries effectively.
• Knowledge of municipal accounting procedures is a plus.
• Organizational and administrative skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to foster positive customer relationships and maintain professionalism.
