Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Ambulatory Service Rep II in Houston, Texas. The Ambulatory Service Rep II role is centered on providing support to patients and managing administrative tasks within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handling patient check-in and check-out procedures

• Carrying out registration tasks and cashiering duties

• Ensuring patient assistance is delivered in a courteous manner

• Keeping an organized work area and maintaining a detail-oriented appearance

• Handling cash transactions and adhering to collection processes

• Utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel for planning and scheduling appointments

• Verifying insurance details and managing medical billing tasks

• Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare practices

• Employing EMR - Electronic Medical Records and Epic Software for task management

• Providing service in both English and Spanish languages

• Upholding detail-oriented demeanor in written communication and overall office practices.

Requirements

+ High School diploma or GED

+ 1+ years of direct face to face customer service experience

+ 1+ years of cash handling or collections experience

+ 1 + year experience in a customer facing role within a high volume medical center or hospital

+ Experience with computers and Windows-based software including Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
