Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist in a large manufacturing organization, based in Chicago, Illinois. The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level across various functional areas, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, benefits administration, and compliance. This position supports the HR department in fostering a productive, compliant, and engaging work environment. and will play a crucial role in supporting the overall HR functions. This is a Hybrid position. Client offers full benefits, including: medical, dental, vision, 401k, short and long term disability, and PTO. Salary target $65-68k plus bonus.

Key Responsibilities
+ Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
+ Manage new hire onboarding, orientation, and documentation.
+ Conduct exit interviews and support offboarding processes.:
+ Serve as a point of contact for employees to address questions related to policies, and benefits.
+ Mediate conflict and address employee concerns in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner.
+ Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through proactive communication and engagement activities.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
+ Maintain employee records and HRIS data with confidentiality and accuracy.
+ Coordinate and track employee training and development programs.
+ Conduct required annual training courses
+ Provide support in administering benefits programs and employee leave (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
+ Serve as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree required
+ Major: Human Resources is preferred.
+ Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR roles, with at least 1 year in recruitment and employee relations in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
