Description

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join an established defense firm. The firm is based in Pasadena, but this is a very remote flex role!!

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting legal operations, ensuring compliance with court procedures, and contributing to the success of litigation processes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment without the pressure of billable hour requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and serve subpoenas along with other legal documents, adhering to court regulations and deadlines.

• Handle electronic filing procedures for state, federal, and appellate courts with precision and efficiency.

• Assist in discovery processes by drafting and issuing requests, as well as organizing responses.

• Prepare comprehensive trial materials, including creating indexes, bookmarking documents, and managing exhibits.

• Maintain and update case calendars to ensure all deadlines and milestones are met.

• Collaborate with attorneys and legal teams to provide thorough support during trial preparation.

• Review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedural standards.

• Support litigation processes by delivering high-quality assistance without the requirement of tracking billable hours.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in litigation or insurance defense.

• Strong expertise in drafting legal documents, including subpoenas and discovery requests.

• Proficiency in e-filing procedures for various court systems, including state, federal, and appellate courts.

• Exceptional organizational skills with experience managing trial preparation materials.

• In-depth knowledge of discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.

• High attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in legal documentation.

• Strong collaboration skills to effectively support attorneys and legal teams.

• Familiarity with legal software and tools used in document management and calendaring.
