Description

We are on the search for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing , located in Long Beach California. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including the maintenance and updating of the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately maintain and update the general ledger by recording and posting journal entries in a timely manner.

• Ensure all financial transactions are documented appropriately and comply with company policies and accounting principles.

• Regularly reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and reported accurately.

• Prepare and review account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and other balance sheet accounts.

• Analyze and adjust entries as needed to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Provide support in the preparation of management reports, variance analyses, and financial summaries.

• Oversee the preparation, filing, and payments of sales tax.

• Be responsible for payroll processing and all related reporting and journal entries.

• Assist or lead other duties as assigned.

Requirements • Should possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation

• Proficient in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Capable of conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Should have a good understanding of General Ledger

• Must be able to perform Journal Entries

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience with Month End Close is necessary

• Should have experience with NetSuite

• Familiarity with Oracle software is a must

• Should have working knowledge of SAP

• Must have relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry

• The role requires a Senior Accountant with a high level of responsibility and accountability

• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required

• CPA certification is preferred

• Experience in financial reporting and taxation in the Oil & Gas industry is a plus

• Must adhere to professional standards and maintain confidentiality

• Should have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
