The Accounting Manager is responsible for working closely with the management team across multiple departments, as well as leading and developing the accounting staff. This role will assist in developing and improving controls, reporting, policies and procedures. You will also have responsibility in helping with the company's financials and ensure accurate reporting in accordance with accounting principles.     Responsibilities:

    • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, conducting reconciliations, and analyzing variances.

    • Assist with the creation of financial statements, forecasts, and annual budgets to support organizational goals.

    • Help to implement and maintain accounting systems while identifying opportunities for process enhancements.

    • Guide the accounting team, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.

    • Collaborate with external auditors ensuring timely delivery of audit materials.

    • Work with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting with supervisory experience.

    • Proficiency in accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

    • Expertise in JD Edwards or similar enterprise accounting systems.

    • CPA certification a plus

    • Manufacturing or related industry experience is preferred

    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including managing teams and fostering growth with a focus on detail-oriented practices.
