Junior Video Editor (with Rotoscoping) - Long-Term Contract

3 days per week onsite in either Orlando or Miami, FL, and 2 days per week remote.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Junior Video Editor with 1-3 years of professional experience to join our creative team. In this role, you will be integral in bringing our visual content to life, with a significant focus on rotoscoping and visual effects preparation. You'll collaborate closely with our senior editors and post-production team on a variety of engaging projects.

This is a long-term contract position offering a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite in either Orlando or Miami, FL, and 2 days per week remote.

Responsibilities:

+ Perform precise and efficient rotoscoping of various elements for visual effects and compositing.

+ Assist senior editors with video editing tasks, including cutting footage, assembling timelines, and adding basic graphics and text.

+ Prepare footage for color correction and audio mixing.

+ Organize and manage project files effectively.

+ Ensure all edits adhere to project specifications and brand guidelines.

+ Collaborate effectively with the post-production team, providing support as needed.

+ Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging techniques in video editing and visual effects.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ 1-3 years of professional experience as a Video Editor, with a demonstrable focus on rotoscoping.

+ Strong proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

+ Excellent rotoscoping skills using software like Adobe After Effects or similar. Please be prepared to showcase your rotoscoping work in your portfolio.

+ Basic understanding of visual effects workflows and compositing principles.

+ Solid understanding of video codecs, formats, and resolutions.

+ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

+ Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

+ Must be able to work onsite in either Orlando or Miami, Florida, 3 days per week.
