Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Amarillo, Texas. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file tax returns for a diverse client base, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain and manage bookkeeping duties, including handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Perform general ledger maintenance and make journal entries to support accurate financial records.
• Oversee month-end close processes and assist with preparing financial statements.
• Provide fractional accounting services to clients, offering tailored solutions for their unique needs.
• Use QuickBooks and other accounting software to manage financial data effectively.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and providing financial guidance.
• Collaborate with team members to support the firm’s growth and enhance service offerings.
• Stay updated on tax laws and accounting standards to ensure compliance and deliver value to clients.
• Assist in mentoring entry-level staff and interns as part of a collaborative work environment. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably with tax preparation experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to handle bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
• Experience working with clients in industries like real estate, non-profits, or construction is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to a vibrant, entrepreneurial team environment.
