    Role Activities & Timeline

    Provide a detailed description of the activities that will be completed during this appointment. For interns, this should include specific information regarding mentorship and curriculum, including an intended timeline for the activities.

     

    Day-to-day supervisor and mentors will track Elysha’s progress toward achieving readiness to contribute meaningfully to manuscript authorship. Elysha will meet with the mentors biweekly. These meetings will consist of both virtual and in-person meetings.

     

    Key milestones will include: 1) understanding the research objectives and background, 2) efficiently managing data collection, entry, and processing 3) developing analytical skills to interpret data, and 4) actively participating in drafting and refining manuscripts for publication.

     

    Weeks 1-2: Elysha will become oriented with Cedars-Sinai, the Freedland lab space, team members, and ongoing work products.

     

    Weeks 3-4: Elysha will familiarize herself with the background of prostate-related conditions

     

    Weeks 5-6: Elysha will gain proficiency in clinical research data collection and information management

     

    Weeks 7-8: Elysha will gain proficiency in data analysis and reporting the findings of her work.

     

    Weeks 9-10: Elysha will identify and pursue areas of special interest and contribute to drafting manuscripts aimed for publication in leading medical journals.

     

    Systems training will include REDCap to process study data, and earn certifications in CITITraining.
