Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in managing procurement activities, including sourcing supplies, overseeing contracts, and acquiring services. This role will require a strong ability to draft documents, negotiate agreements, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee procurement processes.

• Draft comprehensive documents and negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms.

• Manage contract files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations.

• Monitor vendor contract compliance and address any discrepancies to maintain high standards of service.

• Conduct research and compile data to support procurement decisions and generate detailed reports.

• Utilize tracking systems to update and maintain procurement records effectively.

• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to streamline procurement operations.

• File and organize procurement-related documents to ensure easy accessibility and proper record-keeping.

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement or buying.

• Strong negotiation skills and ability to draft documents and contracts.

• Proficiency in tracking systems and data management for procurement activities.

• Familiarity with vendor compliance regulations and contract management.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills for coordinating procurement functions.

• Ability to conduct research and compile relevant data to inform decision-making.

• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining accurate records.

• Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures within a setting requiring attention to detail.
