    Position Description

    Perform and coordinate work group activities including patrolling, locating, construction inspection, and excavation inspection of CO2 and Crude pipelines.

    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    + Surveillance and maintenance of facilities.

    + Locate and mark facilities per Company Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures prior to and during encroachments and excavation.

    + Coordinate local Damage Prevention activities.

    + Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with Company procedures of excavation activities near pipeline facilities.

    + Represent the Company during contacts with landowner/tenants, public officials/emergency officials and at local meetings. (One Call, Pipeline Groups, Soil Conservation, USFS, etc.)

    + Train and oversee company and third party personnel as required (e.g., personnel in progression, transport drivers, contractors, visitors)

    + Follow all EHS procedures and practices

    + Be able to identify safety hazards

    + Maintain good standing with all required training

    + Participate in pipeline public awareness programs and emergency drills

    + Respond to pipeline emergencies such as spills, outages, power failures, etc.

    + Launch and receive pipeline scraper pigs

    + Maintain, repair, and operate valves and pumps

    + Assist with regulatory audits

    + Regular and predictable attendance.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements

    Must have completed at least one (1) year at Pipeline Operator 1 or industry equivalent

    Certifications, licenses, registrations:

    + Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by the company and a current, valid State driver’s license

    + Subject to random drug testing

    + Must pass applicable OQ tasks as required

    Competencies, skills, and abilities:

    + Proficient with assigned core computer programs

    + Follow work procedures independently on less routine tasks or more complex equipment/processes

    + Ability to work from written or verbal instructions

    + Ability to properly prioritize tasks

    + Identify problems

    + Have the ability to train others

    + Ability to speak and understand English.

    + Ability to work with others, takes direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, and follow work rules.

    Physical demands:

    + Driving in remote & congested areas

    + Working outside in extreme weather

    + Frequently lift and carry, unassisted, items weighing up to 50 pounds

    + Walking, climbing, standing, and sitting

    + Some inside work for training, working on computer

    Working conditions:

    + Shift work, alternating days, nights, holidays, weekends

    + Overtime required

    + Emergency response

    + Callouts

    + On-call
